It is just that any tool needs to be updated to know how to handle the current arrangement of data, and what data to look for specifically. The more likely explanation is the makers of the program lost interest/don't have time. RL comes first. I was thinking somewhere I had seen at a point someone was continuing Starcheat. Not sure where to get a working build exactly. Would take some searching.
Makes more sense than having all races be identical to humans. I'd like if there was more reason to pick a race than looks. One thing I wish they would change is have the sail and beam colours changeable. I really like the glitch race, but I hate the orange beam and expecially the orange sail.
Some sort of method to changing the colour would be great, having a default is fine but adding ways to change it would be great. Ramble aside, the races shouldn't all be identical to humans stat wise, doesn't make much sense. The real question is why would you ever want to install it; play terraria, it's the same thing. Starbound is meant to be played the way chucklefish intended You must be unaware of all the work they put into making an extensive modding API. It isn't just 'technically modifiable' the way any game might be with enough technical expertise, but easily and deeply modifiable as a result of direct intent and effort on the part of Chucklefish.
And without need of a 'mod loader' etc because they baked a good system for handling that into the game. I think that makes a stronger argument - modified (in any number of ways) IS the way Chucklefish intended - so you have entirely the wrong idea. Ty has expressed a favorable view of FU specifically, which I think is the final nail.
